A mother-daughter team with a love of art, antiques, and literature, McKenzie and Cynthia have worked together since 2019 in their pursuit of re-collected gems in the secondhand market. Their former brick-and-mortar stores – Sonnet & Sparrow and The Flying Squirrel – are now embodied in one online location. 

McKenzie West is a fine artist with representation through Galaray House in Boston’s South End, and Sidoti Gallery in Rockport, MA. She is a graduate of Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, Old Lyme, CT where she became a recipient of the Wardlaw Award for Excellence in Painting. McKenzie’s work has hung in the US Capitol, the NH Statehouse, and is in private collections throughout the US. 

Cynthia West is a former features writer for national and regional magazines where she interviewed Pulitzer prize-winning authors, fine artists, and celebrity athletes. She was the co-founder and publisher of Monadnock Living, an award-winning art and culture magazine based in NH. Cynthia was also the owner of Brookside Media Group, a boutique marketing firm servicing small businesses, artists, and non-profits. 

Together, McKenzie and Cynthia have set out to redefine collecting through the assemblage of fine art, antiques, and premium clothing. They happily share these wonders with you.
